Bob Butler is the founding pastor of King of Kings Fellowship in Lethbridge, Alberta, where he serves with his wife and co-Pastor, Patty. Since becoming a Christian in 1980, the Holy Spirit has planted in him a growing desire to reveal Jesus Christ, and is strongly motivated by his passion for the Nations of the World to come to know Him. His vision is to serve Christ's Church, by encouraging the planting of effective churches in every corner of the Globe that will honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
Having been deeply touched and challenged by his time with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Hong Kong in 1981, Bob dedicates his life to serving God in ministry. His practical training began at the local church (The Stone Church-Toronto), where under the watchful eye of his Pastor (Rev. Earl Mcnutt) he was mentored for four years. He received formal theological training at Central Pentecostal College in Saskatoon, Ambrose University College (formerly Canadian Theological Seminary), and other post-graduate institutions.
Bob has pastored four churches, has planted and leads more than 300 churches overseas, primarily in India and West Africa, and has ministered on 4 continents. Prior to that time he served a a Provincial Youth and Young Adult Director in Saskatchewan for the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and has served as a sessional lecturer at Central Pentecostal College in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, instructing on Youth Culture, Preaching, Cross-Cultural Ministry , and Worship. He has written dozens of worship songs to encourage congregational worship, and has a deep passion for God's presence, and has a growing teaching ministry, and is in the process of writing for publication.
Biography - Patty Butler
Patty Butler is the co-founder of Kings of Kings Fellowship in Lethbridge, Alberta, where she serves with her husband and co-pastor, Bob. She became a Christian in 1982 while studying Dance and Theatre, in what is now known as Ryerson University in Toronto. She earned her R.A.D. and I.S.T.D. designations as a teacher, and has danced professionally with Toronto Folk Ballet Theatre, and has taught various forms of dance for the last 26 years. Her passion for the Arts has never left her. She has a vision for redeeming the Arts in Worship, so that they can find their full expression in the Church, as God intended. The Holy spirit often communicates to her in Choreographic terms, where she likens the Body of Christ to a ballet company, where Jesus is the Principle dancer,who invites us into a pas de deux or pas de trois, from our roles in the corps de ballet.
Patty's gift include leadership, encouragement and wisdom,. She is also a gifted communicator who has a way of conveying deep truths in practical, down to earth ways. Patty and Bob have two children (Kayleigh who is 14, and a son, Joel at 22),two dogs,two miniature hamsters, a bunny and some fish.
